This is very sentimental to me and will be truly sad to see it go, but needs must. As you can see this is fully capable of being a full time live-in vehicle, or a luxury camper, with a full sized shower, kitchen and a fixed large double bed.
The windows are double glazed so condensation is minimal and the cold is kept out. Kitchen and bathroom extractor fans keep moisture out which is essential for a live in vehicle.
I have comfortably lived and travelled the UK with my partner in this van for the past 6 months and it has served us very well with plenty of room for two people, but unfortunately my work has forced me to move back home to Wales, and the van isn't getting used. I would much rather have someone else enjoy it than have it sit there being barely used and depreciating. So if you're looking for a large off-grid camper or live-in vehicle then this is perfect. The feel of the van is cottage-like, cosy and light. The natural smell of wood comes from the hand crafted kitchen worktop and table, as well as the dark oak flooring, antique overhead cabinet doors and handmade kitchen cabinetry, even the walls are thin plywood. The numerous windows and skylights let in lots of light and air, and so it doesn't feel stuffy and dark like a lot of other conversions. A true tiny house, cottage on wheels, or a luxury weekend campervan.
The Equipment for the off-grid 12v electrical setup includes. Victron MPPT Solar Charge Controller. Rolls 215AH Deep Cycle batteries. Sterling battery to battery charger. 1000W Inverter for using 240v appliances.
This is state of the art equipment and months of research has gone into getting the best and most suitable equipment for the off-grid electrical rig. When I was travelling Scotland in the summer I had unlimited free power coming from the Solar Panel alone, which was pretty amazing. The main features of the van include. A full sized kitchen with extractor hood.
12v powered fridge box (very economical). Gas plumbing with 3-way manifold (one spare feed for gas fridge or heater) checked off by gasSafe engineer. Hot and cold running water. Portable gas heater on board. Very large 160ltr fresh water tank (enough water for 5 days off grid).
Wetroom/ Shower with hand wash basin and vanity mirror with lighting. External under-slung grey water tank. Fixed large double bed with skylight above for stargazing at night. Bed headboard has a hidden strip light for night time reading. Fixed wardrobe for hangers and hanging canvas clothes storage - plenty for two people.
4 x Double glazed windows with blackout blind and fly net. 2 x Large skylights with blackout blind and fly net. Lockable passageway door into cab for ease. Lockable front door, back door and roller shutter.
Prior to the conversion - the vehicle was a furniture removal van used by a family business based in London - they kept a full service log. Engine and mechanics well looked after with full service history and only 120k miles on the clock which is exceptionally low for a vehicle like this.
Runs and drives very well, the turbo is great for extra uphill pull. 3.5 tonne vehicle so can be driven on an ordinary license with no need for horsebox license. Any questions please get in touch.
