Hobby Van T500 Motorhome on Ford Transit chassis. 38,864 miles, Full Service History. Hi and welcome to the sale of our 2007 Hobby Van T500 motorhome. If you are looking for a compact motorhome which has loads of extras and will accommodate two adults in great comfort and a load of gear for those who enjoy outdoor activities then you have found it.

This motorhome is equipped for off grid camping as well as taking advantage of campsite facilities. The Hobby is German built and the quality shows through along with thoughtful design.

Based on a Ford Transit 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox, the motorhome has a great mix of power and economy. The 2.2 tdci engine will return 35 - 38 mpg on a run and on short runs around 30 mpg. It has a cam chain not a cam belt and the vehicle has been regularly serviced. Driver and passenger comfort and safety is catered for with high backed comfort seats, four belted travel seats, driver and passenger air bags, factory fitted cab air conditioning, cruise control and a dealer fitted alarm system. Other extras fitted include, a wind-out awning in silver grey to match the vehicle paint work, a roof mounted 100 watt solar panel, a two cycle bike carrier, a roof mounted kayak carrier, reversing camera and probably the most useful and cost effective extra, two refillable gas tanks.

The two 11kg Gaslow tanks provide the equivalent to 21 litres each, filling both from empty is currently cheaper than one 7kg bottle of Butane, which makes them extremely cost effective. They are easy to refill at one of the numerous LPG pumps at fuel stations all over the UK and Europe. This provides an economical and convenient way to run the hob, oven, water heating and blown air central heating. The solar panel keeps both the leisure battery and vehicle battery topped up and is ideal when off grid to top up the leisure battery and if the vehicle is laid up for any length of time it keeps the vehicle battery, from which the alarm feeds, topped up.

The bike rack and roof mounted canoe rack are both easily operated. The wind out awning can be deployed and stowed in minutes. The motorhome is just over 6 metres long and can be parked in most parking spaces with a little rear overhang. The interior has been well kept with tailored seat covers for the habitation seating made up of a half Pullman dinette, a side seat and the swivel driver and passenger seats allow for seating for five around the extendable free-standing dining table, which can be used outside.

The kitchen area consists of a good size fridge with freezer compartment, an oven, three burner hob and sink. Opposite is the bathroom with sink, toilet and shower and loads of storage space.

Above the bathroom is a round opening roof light providing lots of natural light and good ventilation. At the rear is the double bed, mattresses sit on sprung slats to provide a comfortable sleeping positon with a roof light and side window.

Beneath the bed is the garage that can accommodate a large amount of equipment, it is also where the gas bottles, electrical consumer unit and boiler are located. The garage has its own heating vent and light. It also houses the spare wheel and jack. This was another extra preferred over the flat tyre inflation kit supplied.

The spare is therefore easily accessible and remains clean and dry. The garage area will take a load up to 120 kgs, so bicycles, outdoor chairs, climbing equipment and a whole host of outdoor pursuits equipment can be safely stowed.

As well as all exterior doors being alarmed, each door to the garage, both near and offside have extra locks fitted as does the habitation door, this lock is operable from inside the motorhome for added security whilst wild camping. The cab doors have factory fitted deadlocks. The motorhome has covered 38,864 miles (this may increase slightly), comes with a full service history, has an MOT until August 2018 (no advisories).
